AJE: PRESENTED BY AMP CAPITAL SHOPPING CENTRES
No one does effortless cool quite like Aje, and Tuesday night’s standalone runway is no exception. The Australian label, which seamlessly spans the divide between urban and coastal styles with hand-loomed fabrics, hand-sewn embellishments and hand-painted prints, lends an artisanal feel to their garments. Featuring flawless florals on the runway, coupled with beautifully simplistic acoustic guitar and voice as the runway soundtrack, fashion lovers were inspired by the sustainable Aje Resort 18/19 collection which speaks to the rugged beauty of the Australian landscape. Inspired by prolific Australian artist Brett Whiteley and his wife and muse Wendy, designers Adrian Norris and Edwina Forrest presented a collection that is a beautiful fusion between art and fashion celebrating love, passion and teamwork.
