The Best of The 70's Trend

The best of the 70’s trend

Wearing: Cropped white shirt – Zara; Suede Button Up Skirt – Sports Girl; Over the knee boots – Betts: all from Garden City Booragoon

Sultry Blouses

The 70’s is all about loose and drapey tops. The peasant blouse or the off the shoulder top are just on time for spring, but if you’re looking a gentle nod to the 70’s trend, there’s also the ever-chic 3/4 sleeve shirt, like mine from Zara at Garden City Booragoon.

Suede Skirts

The flagship of the 70’s trend revival has got to be the suede skirt, particularly of the A-line mini variety. My suede skirt was love at first sight from Sportsgirl, at Garden City Booragoon. There are similar styles at Forever New, and faux suede versions at General Pants Co. and BardotCountry Road is also stocking a gorgeous suede midi, for those who don’t prefer a mini length.

Over the Knee Boots

You might not think it, but over the knee boots are probably the most flattering of all boots on the leg. Betts  at Garden City Booragoon has boots on sale at the moment, and I scored mine at half price.

Flared jeans

Just a tip: for a flattering fit on your flared jeans, the leg should be at least as wide as your hip. Zara at Garden City Booragoon has flared jeans in all cuts and and fabrics right now, including faux suede, if you’re game.
