Picnic unveils AW16 Picnic welcomes the new season in style with a range of classic coordinating basics for the Picnic woman, described as stylish, feminine, modern and fun loving. Picnic is a proud WA label embracing Perth climate and lifestyle and for AW16 the label offers relaxed silhouettes, soft fabrics and casual layering. Behind a backdrop of classic blacks and pops of raspberry rose are autumnal shades of midnight navy, burnt olive and industrial greys. The look is warm, comfortable and effortless, yet sleek and elegant. This season we find ourselves mixing and matching soft lustres with different textures. There’s a lot of 70s fringing, feature washes and coated fabrics adding intriguing detail to matte textures. When it comes to denim jeans, anything goes this season at Picnic. There’s olive, grey, cocoa, black and classic blues in popular washes of whisker, vintage and sand. The fit is relaxed and skinny. There’s also plenty of long line capes, sleeveless cardigans and tunic length vests to go with satin pants, fatigued denim and matte midi skirts. And, we’re seeing a lot of drop-crouch pants, jersey dresses and kimono jackets to go with hobo style handbags and beaded tassel necklaces. The new season collection is now in-store at Garden City. Complete your outfit with shoes from Picnic’s sister store, Hobbs located next door to Picnic. Written by Sussan Nguyen, our Women's Fashion & Beauty Expert.
