Hot AW16 Trends

From classic tailoring to bold designs, there is an AW16 trend for each and every fashionista.
We’ve chosen our top 10 picks for the new season that will help freshen and revive your winter wardrobe.

Burgundy
Burgundy becomes one of the most popular reds of the season. Be it shoes, coats, jeans, scarves or even underwear, it’s a colour we can’t get enough of.

Just out of bed
Wake up the city this winter with sleepwear, the new street-style look. Oversized tees, baggy sweaters and drop-crouch bottoms will be the new daytime pyjama.

Graphic black and white
Black and white are the coolest couple of the season. The optical illusions of black and white clash in checks, stripes, diamonds and zebra print.

Eighties revival
SS15/16 was all about the 70s. The 80s greets us this season with bright looks punctuated with touches of Lurex, patent leather, quilting, vinyl and velvet.

Head-to-toe sequins
Sequins on sequins are set to light up the dancefloor this season.

The bare back
Summer is over but we’ll still be baring our backs this winter. Keep an eye out for the open back sweater.

Jersey dresses
Seen at the runways of Céline, Stella McCartney and Chloé, the comfortable and versatile jersey dress makes its way back into our wardrobes this winter.

Puffy Sleeves
Again, we step back in time to the 80s with the puffy sleeve. Good news: puffy sleeves aren’t just for clowns or children; they’ll do wonders to our wardrobe by creating and illusion of a smaller waist.

Reefer Jackets
The double breasted blue coat inspired by the United States Navy makes its way to the AW16 runways of Chloe, Nina Ricci and Michael Kors.

Keyhole Slits
We say goodbye to the plunging V-necklines of SS15/16 and hello to keyholes small and large in the centre of the chest.

This is only a sneak peek. Over the new season, we’ll take you on an in-depth journey of the latest trends. We’ll show you the what, how and who, along with the hottest hints and tips for your winter wardrobe. Stay tuned!
