Garden City is proud to once again be supporting the Starlight Children's Foundation this Christmas. 

Garden City shoppers can purchase exclusive Christmas decorations and Starlight merchandise and help raise funds to put smiles on the faces of seriously ill children and their families.

Starlight brightens the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families all over Australia. They do this by delivering innovative programs that provide a positive distraction from their illness and restore the fun, laughter and joy that serious illness takes away. 

Help children just like Ricky

The Starlight Wish granting program provides an opportunity for a child to have their own individual dream come true, giving them something truly unique to look forward to, and an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

Eight-year-old Ricky suffers from a condition called Charcot Marie tooth disease. This condition causes a degeneration of the nerves that supply the arms and legs. Sadly, paralysis of both arms and legs is the eventual result of this condition.

Ricky currently requires elbow crutches for mobility. Ricky's Starlight Wish was to take his whole family to the Gold Coast for a fun-filled adventure at the theme parks – he couldn’t wait to visit Wiggles World and meet Batman!

Ricky’s wish was granted in May and has been raving about his experience ever since.

"I liked Movie World and I loved going in the bat wing!! said Ricky. Ricky's mum also commented, “It was a wish come true for Ricky - we will cherish this experience forever!” said Ricky's mother.
